2 days of wellness brought to you!!

Last held Nov' 17 in Brighton & Worthing, watch this pace for new dates!!

Can’t get away but need to de-stress, reduce anxiety, find some calm, lift your mood, refocus or rebalance?

Our escape weekends bring a taste of wellness to you in your local area without the expense, time or faff of travel.

Imagine feeling energised, positive and focussed for the activity of the day ahead, then gently winding down and switching off at the end of the day for a restorative and peaceful sleep.... Our escape weekends will help you achieve just that.

We offer tasters of ancient practices, known to raise levels of positive, feel-good brain chemicals. Each weekend integrates our very own unique blend of acupuncture, qigong meditation and yoga, as well as a natural skincare session, raw chocolate making & tasting, plenty of laughter & conversation and thoughtfully created veggie lunches.

Saturday's tone will be uplifting and gently energising, to ease feelings of depression, low energy and general flatness, while on Sunday we'll focus on calming and relaxing the body and mind, helping to reduce tension, anxiety and stress. You'll taste and take away lots of tips and ideas that you can continue with at home to maintain the emotional balance you would like.

The weekends are women-only and offer you the chance to try some endorphin boosting, serotonin raising, feel-good techniques in a friendly and relaxed space.  All ladies welcome, and we especially love it when beginners join us.

Places are limited to between 8 - 10 people max at each escape, so book early!

Please note these weekends are daytime escapes, no overnight accommodation provided - you get to enjoy the comfort of your own bed at night.

Over the weekend, we blend classical acupuncture point combinations with selected qigong meditations thoughtfully selected to complement the style of yoga and mood of the day. All practices work together to enhance the beneficial effects of each other, allowing you space to deeply tune into your sensations and feelings. See our acupuncture and yoga pages for more info.

On Saturday we begin the day with an acupuncture combination known to increase smooth circulation, reduce pain and ease feelings of stuckness and depression. With needles in place, we share a simple qi gong meditation to further encourage unrestricted flow. Needles removed, you're prepped and ready for movement, and a session of lovely, gentle and uplifting yoga follows. On Sunday we begin with restorative yoga, followed by acupuncture and a qi gong meditation for relaxation, all working together to replenish our energy reserves and calm the mind.

Acupuncture is usually an incredibly pleasant experience and needles are placed very gently. If you are needle shy, it’s totally fine to enjoy the meditations and yoga without the needles, and they can be removed if any discomfort is experienced. Points are used on the hands, feet and forehead only so no need to undress.

Both yoga sessions are very gentle and particularly suitable for beginners. If you feel a yoga posture might be a bit  beyond your capabilities, there are always adaptations available or it's completely fine to sit out a pose.

We share our passion for mood boosting treats and teach you how to create delicious raw chocolate at home that are better for both your tastebuds and your health. Unless you've been hiding away you've probably already heard about the wide range of health benefits of dark chocolate; rich in antioxidants, lowering blood pressure and improving blood flow to the brain and heart to name a few. The problem with shop bought chocolate is that it contains cocoa and retains less of the nutritional benefits of the real deal chocolate - raw cacao.

Nutritionally, cacao is a powerhouse of over 300 nutrients. There are many components of cacao that all work together to improve physical and mental health.  For example, theombromine helps to stimulate the central nervous system, relax muscles and dilate blood vessels, giving the body a boost of energy. “Bliss” chemicals found in cacao help to increase circulation and availability of serotonin and other neurotransmitters in the brain, improving mood and combating depression.

Clearly better to make our own, we include all ingredients needed and you'll get to take home your delicious creations. All recipes include natural sweeteners and nutrient dense foods to curb your cravings and stabilise your mood.

Increasing awareness of what we put in our bodies and a move towards natural and wholesome foods, extends into concern for what we put on our bodies. We'll share ingredient ideas your skin will lap up and a routine your inner self will love you for during a fun, nourishing and slightly messy Ayurvedic inspired skin food afternoon.

Research shows that grooming stimulates the release of endorphins - opiates produced by the brain that trigger feelings of relaxation by lowering the heart rate, reducing nervous behaviours, and even bringing on sleep. Grooming the body in a loving and curious way - rather than from a place of judgement, comparison, shame, dissatisfaction or guilt for taking time out for yourself - can be a very gentle, practical and effective way to nurture and care for your very sense of self. A vivid message of self-love is sent to the deep tissues of the body and the subtle realms of the psyche, and reaching well beyond the surface.

We’ll cleanse, scrub, mask, steam and try a bit of facial self massage using oils, spices, teas, local herbs, fruit and veg that you can mix and match according to your skin type and mood goals. You’ll come away with a simple and adaptable routine using every day, natural and affordable ingredients, that's easy to enjoy at home.

"You work so well together and your personalities really shine. You have loads of experience between you and your calm approach to leading was greatly welcomed. Definitely my kind of vibe"

"Best bits were being among like minded people and honestly laughing loads! Oh and the yoga and acupuncture of course!”

"Relaxing, fun and soothing sessions. The skin food facial was amazing."
